Member Benefits
Member Benefits include:
A quarterly copy of the Flight journal, and access to EVERY back-issue of Flight (to August 1986).
Bird Stamp Listings compiled into a catalogue format, members can receive free listings up to 2016. New listings are also available within each Flight journal.
The Society runs a successful postal packet circuit for British members, each receiving a packet containing 8/10 books about six times a year. The books are made up by members’ and non-members’ items, and cover single stamps, sets and covers, some at one fifth catalogue value. Both British and overseas members also have access to an internet-based bird stamp packet, that is run in close association with the Society, called e-packet.
A chance to participate in a re-activated bird stamp Auction, where members can supply material for the auction, or simply bid on items required.
Soon to be introduced Newsletters
An opportunity to participate in the Bourse – an internal market place enabling members to sell, buy, exchange, or give-away philatelic material to fellow members, including bird stamps, covers, whole collections, postal stationery, philatelic equipment or accessories.
In the future we will aim to provide a platform for Online Meetings
Access to the BSS Library currently under construction, the BSS Library will be a comprehensive resource of, for example, articles, exhibition material, research papers, Society business documents and more, for members to peruse online or download.
